At Kitchens by Frankie, every kitchen starts with a thoughtful, professional design process. We personally lead each project to ensure your kitchen is carefully planned, visually cohesive, and tailored to how you live before construction begins.
This structured approach reduces guesswork, helps avoid costly mistakes, and results in a kitchen that feels intentional, functional,

Kitchens by Frankie provides designer-led consultations throughout our Westchester County and Connecticut service areas.
Step 1: Phone Consultation
Every kitchen and cabinetry project begins with an initial phone consultation to discuss your space, design goals, style preferences, timeline, and overall vision. This conversation helps us better understand your project and determine the best direction before moving into measurements and custom design planning.
Clients are encouraged to share photos, measurements, inspiration images, or sketches during the consultation to help evaluate the space and layout possibilities. Preliminary budget guidance and ballpark cabinetry pricing may also be discussed to help establish realistic expectations before entering the
design phase.
Step 2: In-Home Measurements & Design Retainer
Once we’ve discussed your project and determined we’re a good fit, the next step is an in-home visit to evaluate the space, take detailed measurements, and begin the design planning process.
At this stage, a design retainer is required to move forward with layout development, material selections, and preliminary cabinetry planning. This allows us to dedicate the necessary time and attention to creating a thoughtful, customized design tailored to your home and project goals.
Depending on the project scope, a portion of the design retainer may be credited toward your cabinetry purchase.
Step 3: Design Development & Selections
With measurements and project details finalized, we begin developing your custom design layout. This phase focuses on creating a functional, visually balanced space tailored to your lifestyle, storage needs, and overall aesthetic goals.
Cabinet styles, finishes, hardware, layout refinements, and design details are carefully reviewed and adjusted throughout the process to ensure every element works cohesively within
the space.
Clients are guided through selections and design decisions with clear communication and personalized attention, resulting in a design that feels both intentional and uniquely tailored to
their home.
STEP 4: Cabinetry Ordering & Project Coordination
Once the design has been finalized and approved, we move into the cabinetry ordering and project coordination phase.
Final specifications, materials, finishes, and project details are carefully reviewed to ensure accuracy before production begins.
Throughout this stage, coordination with contractors, installers, and other project professionals may take place as needed to help support a smooth and organized renovation process.
Clients are kept informed on timelines, product updates, and key project milestones as cabinetry moves through production and preparation for delivery.
Step 5: Delivery & Installation
As cabinetry and materials arrive, delivery and installation are carefully coordinated to help ensure the project moves efficiently and according to plan. Attention to detail throughout the installation phase is essential to achieving a finished space that feels both functional
and visually refined.
Final adjustments, fitment details, and finishing touches are reviewed to help ensure the completed design reflects the original vision discussed throughout the planning process. The result is a thoughtfully designed space tailored to each client’s home, lifestyle, and long-term needs.
